Warehouse Club

When i was reading chapter 13, i come across the warehouse club which is one of the retail store or u can say it a wholesale club usually selling a wide variety of merchandise in which customers are required to buy large. These clubs keep the prices low due to the no-frills format of the store. In addition to this customers need to pay the annual membership fees in order to shop. The basic difference between the warehouse club and the superstore is the membership to shop. Warehouse clubs have grown rapidly. Industry sales increased at an annual average rate of 35 % between 1998 and 2008 compared to16% for all general merchandise stores. The profitability of warehouse clubs depends on high volume sales, low-cost purchasing, and efficient distribution
