SWOT Analysis

A tool used by organizations to help the firm establish its Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT). A SWOT analysis is used as a framework to help the firm develop its overall corporate, marketing, or product strategies.
Strengths and Weaknesses are internal factors which are controllable by the organization.
Opportunities & threats are external factors which are uncontrollable by the organization.

It is an important tool for every organization, for its decision making process. In my opinion SWOT Analysis can be also used to judge ones personality. i.e. A Student may succeed in getting his or her mission while looking to his strengths and weakness and by observing the threats and opportunities in his environment. Therefore I think SWOT analysis is an important tool for every one.

Definitely, SWOT analysis is a method to judge a company's strenghts, weaknesses, opportrunities and threats. A company's differentiated product can be strength for a company and low labor productivity will be weakness for a company. An uncatered market segment can be an opportunity for a company and a new competitor can be a threat for the company.

i would disagree on ur oppurtunity point.
According to me its in ur control.U can have oppurtunity by ur performance. No matter to some extent it depends on ur fate but most of the time its on u to get opputunity by ur efforts.
One of my senior friend told me that he has been selected for the interview for job at bank Alfalah. Now just think whats the reason? Why they chose him n not the rest.of course its his efforts n hard work due to which he got the opprtunity for interview.
