Application of Brand Sponsorship to real life

I was reading about brand sponsorship from our marketing book for the quiz and I decided to apply the topic to the products around us. Do comment on my applications.
There is this concept of a national brand or a manufacturer's brand. The best example of a national brand to me is the DG Cement. It is produced and marketed by the same company.
Reseller brands are those brands which are marketed by the reseller but they are produced by other companies for example, there is a Best Buy store in Cavalry which is selling cola drinks under its own name but the cole drinks are not being manufactured by the store itself.
Licensing is when a company sells a product under a popular brand name of another company and thus the company has to pay that other company royalties for the use of that brand name. For example, the Best Buy store in Cavalry is most probably paying royalties to the original Best Buy store chain.
Co-branding is another method under which two companies join forces to produce a product under the joint brand name for example, correct me if I am wrong, Mercedes being produced by DaimlerChrysler.
This is my application of these different concepts. Do give me a feedback on this guys?

Your application of these different concepts is very true and nowadays many of the companies are doing this so to increase their sales and profit margin. As Sir Mannan also gave the example of P&G and Walmart and their increasing sales under eachothers brand name
