Sometimes i wonder that why is the traditional Suzuki Mehran still available for sale. It is still the most popular car in Pakistan. The reason for its popularity is its low price and availability of spare parts in low prices from almost everywhere. Some people also comment ' Mehran k spare parts tou mochi se le k darzi tak sab k paas mil jaatay hain'.
The question that rises in my mind is that what kind of marketing strategy Pak Suzuki is following? The design of their car from interior to exterior is same since last 20 years. Why are they still on the top? Suzuki Mehran has no comfort seats. Also its shocks are pathetic for Pakistani roads as you get a lot of jerks while u r on road driving a Mehran. They do not advertise infact they do not need to as their thousands of mehrans already running on road. So is it their customer's brand loyalty tht their car is still most running or are they are exploiting their customers by offering their car cheaper than other cars (which in cost terms is much more cheaper than its retail price)?

If u just talk about suzuki mehran as u already mentioned that its low price is its reason of customer attraction. Most of the people in pakistan belong to middle n lower class.as they in majority so this majority choose mehran car.
One of the main reason is its cheap spair parts.May be for most of people its not difficult to purchase toyota and Honda but their maintenance n other expenses r much more than suzuki mehran.
for most of the people its not affordable.
