Stock keeping unit

INTRODUCTION:
A stock keeping unit or SKU pronounced as an acronym or as an initialism. it is a unique identifier for each distinct product and service that can be purchased. Each SKU is attached to an item, variant, product line, service or fee.
ADVANTAGE:
It is used in data management, enabling the company to systematically track their inventory or product availability such as warehouses or retail outlets. SKU's are not always associated with physical items but are most billable items e.g : delivery fees, installation fees, either blue shirts are selling better than green shirts.
EXAMPLE:
In case of ten chairs makes 1 ABC which is the SKU for chairs. If we say that we have 10 ABC it means we have 100 chairs.
