Price-Adjustment Strategies

Psychological Pricing:
The seller here will consider the psychology of price and the positioning of price within the market place.

Promotional Pricing:
The temporary pricing of goods and services at lower than normal levels for a special promotional effort.

Geographic Pricing
Variable-pricing method in which a selling price is computed according to the customer's location or market's distance.

Dynamic Pricing
Adjusting prices continually to meet the characteristics and needs of individual customers and situations.

From above definitions I identify that Psychological pricing method encourage purchases which is based on emotional rather than rational responses how ever Promotional and Dynamic pricing encourage all the customers in their target market. But beside theses i think geographical pricing facilitate customers who are near to a product and discouraged customers who are away from the product by the high pricing of the products due to the transportation, shipping or some other costs incurred in delivering and storing the product.
