Taglines are phrases that are supposed to communicate the essential information about a product. They are catchy interesting ditties, which the target audience can relate to, and it can leave a psychological impact on them. We had a heated debate in class about whether a tagline would essentially tell about the qualities of the product. Sir Manan of the view that for a product to be successful, a tagline must entail its essential qualities. Whereas, I was propounding that a stalwart such as Nike doesn’t have its qualities stated in its tagline. I tried to look up for probable answers for how a good tagline should be?
