11 rules to use for effective brainstorming

There are 11 rules that will help us in effective brainstorming which are as follows:-
  1. Defer judgement.
  2. Everyone participates.
  3. High energy.
  4. Faster is better.
  5. Quantity versus Quality.
  6. Encourage wild ideas.
  7. Build on eachother's ideas.
  8. Keep on track.
  9. Short discussions.
  10. Capture everything.
  11. Organize and filter after the brainstorm.

i wouldn't totally agree with point 4 as sometimes 'faster is better' might not work cz sometimes things mess up when you try doing it faster. for eg: in Thursday's class, we did the P&G activity and sir told that group to come up with a new flavor of chips in 5 minutes and they came up with jalapeno flavour. that was a really bad idea and i guess that's what happens when you're trying to go for faster is better

Yup i agree i was the cma of it and we dont even got much time for the brainstorm thinking of even having to think about the test results of it.
